Map Database Updated 09/15/21
This is the number one map i wish i had my whole life. I’m a business traveler and i always bring a fly rod with me on business trips. The problem is figuring out where to go and the time it takes just figuring out where to park a rental car. it’s takes hours of internet research just to figure out the closest fishable river …that has public access. I have wasted time doing it hundreds of times. and then you have to figure out where to park your rental car in a public area. and you only have a couple hours of evening hatch after work. Well, after 20+ years of hard business travel (and fly fishing vacation travel) i have accumulated close to 200 of my favorite fly fishing places on my Garmin GPS.
The download is a zip of a KML, GPX, OSM & ROUTE files. all mapping programs support KML files, but it’s easiest just to import this file from Google Earth. Once imported you’ll have all Google Earth’s features including a satellite view and mapping capability.
It contains close to 200 locations, mostly in the US including an extensive list of DIY places in CA, MT, WY, CO, UT and ID but also in New Zealand. Free Updates from me forever until I stop business travel.
Instructions on how to use the gps files are located in the zip file
