Tim Huckaby is a software industry luminary focused on Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Augmented Reality, & Mixed Reality Experiences….and he’s a fly fisherman.
Outside of the technology world, Tim’s true loves are family, spectator sports and the outdoors. Tim married his college sweetheart where they both attended The University of San Diego. Tim has been married for 30+ years plus 8 years of “Catholic dating” to his wife Kelly and has two grown Children: Camille and Mark. Camille, 28, is in med school training to become a PA…and at the top of her class. Tim’s youngest, Mark is 25, lives in Bozeman, MT and is a “stick”; a guide level fly fisherman who is pretty good on the oars too.
Tim is an obsessed Fly Fisherman who has fly fished all over the world and ties his own flies. Tim’s flies, especially the “Huck-Hopper” are used by guides and fly fisherman around the world. Tim is not an “indoor workout guy”; He’s an avid mountain biker, endurance runner, snowboarder and “former” beach volleyball player…even though he’s an “old guy”. Oh yea, Tim has never met a bar he didn’t like either.
Technology Bio
Mr. Huckaby has over 35 years of technology experience including working on a server product team as a development lead at Microsoft. Mr. Huckaby worked on Microsoft Server products in the late nineties. Mr. Huckaby is a Microsoft Global RD and a Microsoft MVP in Artificial intelligence. Mr. Huckaby serves on many technology advisory councils and boards and consults at the highest levels of many technology companies including Microsoft and Intel.
Consistently rated in the top 10% of all speakers, Mr. Huckaby has been awarded many times for the highest rated presentations and keynotes for Microsoft, Intel and many other conferences like CES and events all around the world. Having worked for or with Microsoft close to 30 years, Mr. Huckaby has been on stage with, and done numerous keynote demos for many Microsoft executives including Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer.

Fly Fishing Bio
Tim Huckaby is a fly fisherman. He carries a California Guiding license, teaches, writes, provides guidance, and ties flies professionally. Mr. Huckaby’s fly fishing passion lies in “carrying it forward”; helping beginners, like kids, become successful in the wilderness as a fly fisher and backpacker.
